E8 Markets has expanded its simulated trading offering with Perpetual Futures, replacing its previous Crypto market and adding access to a much wider range of instruments. To mark the launch, traders can currently get 50% off with code PROPJOURNALIST.
The new Perpetual market is powered by a Hyperliquid data feed and is available through E8 Terminal, giving traders 24/7 access to cryptocurrencies, stocks, indices and metals within E8’s SimFi environment.
In this article, I’ll explain how E8 Markets Perpetuals work, which challenges support them, and what makes the new offering different from its previous Crypto accounts.
What Are E8 Markets Perpetual Futures?

Perpetual Futures, or Perps, are derivative contracts that track the price of an underlying asset without an expiry date.
Unlike traditional futures contracts, they can be traded continuously, making them particularly popular in crypto markets.
E8 Markets now uses a Hyperliquid data feed for its Perpetual market, meaning prices, spreads and funding behaviour on E8 Terminal are designed to reflect what is happening on Hyperliquid in real time. The capital itself remains simulated.
This is an important distinction. E8 traders are not trading directly on Hyperliquid with real funds, but the simulated environment uses real market data from the exchange.
Which Markets Are Available?
The new Perpetual offering significantly expands the range of assets available compared with E8’s previous Crypto market.
Traders can now access:
- Cryptocurrencies
- Stocks
- Indices
- Metals

E8 says the Perpetual market replaces its existing Crypto offering, bringing these different asset classes together within the same simulated environment.
The main E8 website currently advertises access to more than 250 markets, with Perpetuals available 24/7 through E8 Terminal.
Which E8 Accounts Support Perpetuals?

Perpetual Futures are currently available on E8 One and E8 Pro.
Trading takes place exclusively through E8 Terminal, so Perpetuals are not available on MT5, cTrader, TradeLocker or MatchTrader.
E8 One Perpetual Rules
E8 One is a 1-Step challenge and is the more customisable of the two Perpetual options.
The preset account currently uses a 6% profit target, 3% daily drawdown and 4% dynamic drawdown. Drawdown can be increased up to 14%, but keep in mind that this increases the profit target too.

There are unlimited trading days, with traders only required to place and close at least one trade every 60 days.
Once funded, E8 One introduces a 40% best-day rule for payouts, meaning no single profitable day can account for more than 40% of total generated profit.
E8 One account sizes range from $5K to $500K, with preset prices starting at $48 before discounts.
E8 Pro Perpetual Rules
The E8 Pro Perpetual account takes a different approach.
It is also a 1-Step challenge, but uses an 8% profit target, 2.5% daily drawdown and 8% static drawdown. The E8 Pro is also available in 6% and 10% drawdown variations.

That static drawdown is one of the main attractions of the Pro model, as it does not trail profitable trades.
However, E8 Pro introduces a 2% daily profit cap, meaning only 2% of the initial account balance can count towards the profit target on any single day.
For example, on a $100K account, you could make more than $2,000 in one day, but only $2,000 would count towards passing the challenge.
E8 describes Pro as its option for traders who want static drawdown, daily payouts and no payout caps. Overall, it is better value for money than the E8 One, but the daily profit cap will slow down aggressive traders.
Perpetual Trading Fees
E8 currently uses a 0.045% taker fee and 0.015% maker fee on Perpetual trades.
These fees are based on the notional value of the position and mirror the Hyperliquid fee structure used as the underlying data feed.
This makes limit orders considerably cheaper than market orders, which is worth considering for traders using larger position sizes or higher-frequency strategies.
E8 also says spreads are typically around one tick on major instruments, although slippage can still occur in the simulated environment.
Why Is E8 Adding Perpetuals?
This looks like more than a simple replacement for its old Crypto accounts.
By adding stock, index and metal perpetuals alongside crypto, E8 is giving traders access to a broader 24/7 market without requiring them to move between separate account types or platforms.
Perpetual futures have grown rapidly in crypto trading, and using Hyperliquid’s market feed gives E8 access to pricing from one of the largest decentralised perpetual exchanges.
For traders, the main benefit is flexibility. You can trade crypto and other markets around the clock without dealing with traditional futures expiry dates.
Are E8 Markets Perpetuals Worth It?
I think the addition makes E8 more interesting, particularly for traders who already prefer crypto-style perpetual markets.
The ability to trade cryptocurrencies, stocks, indices and metals 24/7 from one account is a useful expansion, and the Hyperliquid data feed gives the product a more relevant underlying market than a basic synthetic crypto offering.
The choice between E8 One and E8 Pro will come down to trading style.
E8 One has a lower profit target and more customisation, but uses dynamic drawdown and introduces a 40% best-day rule after passing.
E8 Pro has the more attractive 8% static drawdown, but the 2% daily profit cap means traders cannot rush through the evaluation with one or two very large winning days.
Conclusion
Overall, E8 Markets adding Perpetual Futures is a significant upgrade to its previous Crypto offering.
Rather than limiting traders to crypto, E8 now provides access to a much broader range of 24/7 markets, including stocks, indices and metals, all powered by Hyperliquid market data.
The E8 Pro Perpetual account stands out to me because of its static drawdown, while E8 One has the fastest evaluation, with passing in one day available.
The main limitation is that Perpetuals are only available through E8 Terminal.
But for traders who want 24/7 simulated trading across multiple asset classes, the new Perpetual market is one of the more interesting additions E8 has made recently.
